These estates were not only prominent in the Mennonite communities but also in the Russian communities participating in the local and regional government affairs. The book is complete with maps of various estates and regions, biographies of a number of Mennonite estate owners and lists of estates, estate owners, managers and teachers in both Imperial Russia and the Crimea.
